disability analyst Customer focused drive. The idea that we discuss in quarterly meetings is that the Insured not have to think about his insurance, just know with confidence that it is handled. Stengths: diversity, trust, consideration to the extent of making administrative decisions to pay when we might normally deny a claim and our motto: try to pay the claim, don't try to deny it. We are not sticklers for dotting i's and crossing t's if the claimant has forgot something. We pick up the phone and call to find out where other companies deny and send a letter for a new submission. Weakness: communication of the larger global picture to the departments. Frankly, I'd like to see an immediate raise when a new position is granted to an employee instead of having to work in it for a year and prove yourself. I feel that if you were recognized as a candidate for the position in the first place, the raise should come with the title. Adjust it on the anniversary. Fortis is upfront about this policy though. They don't hide it. It's pay for performance. Brokers and underwriters are coming together nicely and the focus is on a policy called true-group. Morale is high and products are easy to understand, and more importantly, act upon. If you like freedom and responsibility, if you like multi-tasking and recognition, if you like helping people and having those people thank you for that help, and if you want to enjoy coming to work and forget the time until you go home, apply. This place is for you.
