Working in Information Technology, I have been given a number of
opportunities for professional development and new challenges. We are
priveleged to receive a tremendous amount of training- up to 80 hours a
year. The workforce is quite diverse, particularly in IT. The
downside is that compensation and merit increases are handled in a very
beaurocratic fashion. Don't expect to move quickly upwards - in pay or
promotions - in this company.
