Hours are pretty norma 40-50 hours/week and I am on an alternative work
schedule. I work 9 days and get one day off. Also, Ford has a lot of
holidays and good benefits.
Diversity is high and valued. However, this varies by division. I am
in Global Purchasing.
I feel like there are opportunities, but you have to wait in line.
Also, the promotion process is not very transparent and involves a lot
of networking.
This is a big company and you spend a lot of time waiting for management
to make decisions and lobbying other groups. I do feel like there is a
lot of communication from upper management. Also, there are a lot of
functional silos.
I am in the Ford College Graduate Program (FCG), which includes 2 (1-
year) rotations. It used to have a third rotation in another division,
but this was eliminated due to budget issues. This has been my biggest
disappointment. The MBAs and undergrads are grouped together although
some rotations are earmarked for MBAs. This year they cut the FCG 3-
week training.
