Initially the corporate culture at Fleming seemed pretty good. With the
induction of Mark Hansen, Fleming brought in a Servant Leadership
structure and an open door policy along with an attitude of thrift. I
was never afraid to approach anyone at Fleming, or afraid to express
ideas. In fact, I always felt my ideas were welcomed. Opportunities for
advancement for some seemed automatic; however for others it seemed the
path was harder. I created my own opportunity by growing my job. The
hours were flexible depending on where you worked - I had the pleasure
of coming in at strange hours and working often till the wee hours of
the morning - like my body favors. Fleming's IT department had a more
relaxed dress code than the rest of Corporate - being quite casual.
