I think the overall business outlook is good. Our main strength is our
analysts. We have a lot of great research being published and we have
for the most part been timely on our rating actions. The company is in
a growth mode and always looking to pick up new business. Perhaps our
main weakness is our size relative to our competitors, Standard & Poor's
and Moody's. We are much smaller relative to our peers and we do not
have the market penetration that they have. We have to work hard to get
noticed in the market, but it is starting to pay off. While there are
always individuals that are not particularly positive about their
positions at Fitch, I would say that overall, employee morale is good.
Certainly, in areas that do not necessarily generate huge profits for
the company, therefore making it more difficult for advancement
opportunities, something needs to be done to increase the morale for
these employees.
