GAC Minnesota is like a McDonald's - UNREAL!. GAC (General American
Corporation aka Northstar Title) was aquired by Fiserv in 2003/2004.
Diverse? None really-- about 2 Afro Americans, 2 Asians in the entire
branch (Afro Americans all either quit, resigned or fired). There used
to be quite a few ethnic backgrounds working there back in 2001/2002.
The other 98% are white/other. When I started working there in 01, I
was under the impression of "McDonald's Workforce Connection" when I
saw all of the younger employees just out of high school. Company has
had the most police activity in 3 years than I've seen in my old hood
in Brooklyn, NYC. (Granted, they have just hired a human resources
person to weed out the bad seeds). Branch is run by 3 females -- This
should tell you (males) what to expect. That wasn't a problem, the
problem was that they (Minnesota Branch) doesn't take any time or spend
any energy on the employee. Turnover rates since 2001-2004 is at least
80% or better, and they don't seem to care. Management is only
concerned with how the numbers look at the end of the month. Over 1
million dollars billed ever month, for a small office is quite well.
Don't try to advance into other positions or increase your pay in other
departments.. they will move you, but will not pay you for it. They
expect top notch work, and want to reward the employees with ice cream!
BILLING OVER 1 MILLION PER MONTH AND THEY WANT TO GIVE YOU ICE CREAM OR
DINNER???? What's wrong with that picture? When you ask for advancement
and if you really press them for it, you'll end up like me TERMINATED!
