It is a place inherit a lot of good and bad habits from Citibank Card
Service. Very political and hero worship culture. Team work is not
encouraged but stars are adored. As long as you can get a short term
result, even given sacrifice the long term, senior management loves you.
Their bonus structure is very ridiculous and I even heard a "good"
performer earn only 0.231% on her 45,000 base salary because the bonus
pool in her group was mainly spent on the lead of the group and someone
threated to leave.
It doesn't matter to do things in the right way. Due to the
extraordinary high personnel turnover, not many people try to think of
long term plan. A lot of one-time boom initiatives without careful
evaluation and poor follow-ups projects still gets spotlight. As long as
you can get "sounds-good" idea or get on "fashionable" topic of the
time, you will get attention.
