Fidelity is one of the best employers I have ever worked for. They work
you hard, but reward you accordingly. The campus itself in Merrimack is
impressive. Everything is landscpaed beautifully, the building inside
is always spotless, and they have no problem spending money to fix
anything. Most of upper management that I have had contact with has
been very friendly and well qualified for their positions. The hours
can be long, but non-exempt employees are paid overtime for anything
over 40 horus a week. In my department we're expected to be available
for any time between 8:30am and 8:00pm, but they are flexible when you
need to change the hours. The dress code across the board is mostly
business casual. They aren't obnoxious about it, and sometimes allow
employees to wear jeans to work on special occasions. I received six
weeks of training when I first started, and they have continuously
offered training throughout. You're required to stay in your position
for at least a year before advancing anywhere else within the company,
but I have been allowed to job shadow in several different departments
so far to figure out where I will end up. Overall, Fidelity is an
ethical company that expects a lot out of its employees but the room for
opportunity is endless.
