Fidelity definitely knows what they're doing when it comes to people's
retirement dollars. They spend so much training the people that work
there so that they can help customers with their retirment needs. One
thing that they are lacking is that Fidelity does not license the people
on the front lines that deal directly with customers. Customer service
representatives have to skate around certain topics that would be
helpful to customers because they are not licensed to discuss them.
Transferring them to different departments where there are licensed reps
take time, and I think they may not be able to present their products to
a lot of customers that don't want to be passed around. Fidelity takes
care of its employees with bonus programs, contests, and activities so
employee morale is high for the most part.
