Some of the departments are going to experience downsizing, though, in the near future. We do check processing, for example, and because fewer and fewer checks are being written (which is a good development, and we're doing everything we can to promote it), there is less for our processing folks to work on. Elsewhere in the bank it is difficult to add positions without really fighting for them, even though they are very needed. Information technology is an area which is seeing some downsizing, for some reason. There are efforts to consolidate IT functions across the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, to make things more cost- effective.
