Job Title Workplace Survey
Human Resource Specialist Generally, our work is constantly challenging, moving from one project to another. The organization promotes communication at all levels and good communication skills are esssential. Hours are flexible to a degree, we have alternate work schedule and the ability to work at home on a project basis. I have been able to work in the same Division for over 10 years, but have held many different jobs and responsibilities. This has kept my interest in the work and kept me challenged. There are opportunities to move to other offices with the FHWA and many people have done so. Generally, with anticipated retirements, there are continual opportunities to take challenging work and get promoted.
