Process operator As an ex-Mobil employee, I wish that Exxon and Mobil had never merged!!! That's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of most everyone in our plant... They (Exxon) are always looking for the worst in us. We are not looked upon with any respect, we are all replaceable. All the company is concerned about is the almighty dollar. Safety was a very important concern, they say it still is but, that's hard to believe when we are working with paper thin piping. Threats are a common thing nowadays,we are threatened everyday about how replacible we are and all the reasons that they can fire us. Anyone considering joining exxonmobil, don't. Exxon "downsized" or more commonly known as eliminated several departments. The duties of these departments now belong to those of us who are left. Now we are responsible for our units plus maintainance, plus laborers, plus housekeeping. Even in a twelve hour shift there is not enough time to get it all done and maintain safety. I have worked for several large companies and this one is just the worst, by far. I am giving an honest opinion and this opinion is consistant between salary and non- salary employees. The only pro for working for this company is the money. And really in the big picture is that really worth it?
