I found out that this firm was well entrenched in the business. I followed the if you can't beat 'em, join 'em philosophy. I emailed the global lead partner about my ideas and he asked for my resume. It was than forwarded to the lead partner in Canada. He did not call me, however, I followed up a week later. We had lunch and asked me what I was interested in. I then met with National HR who said I would be best suited for their business advisory practice. So, I then met with the two Canadian partners in charge of the practice. After that, a meeting with the senior manager and the job was mine...
