This is a company that is not for everyone. Everyone, barring a MVR
background check will be hired with a 4 year degree. This is when the
weeding out process begins. It is structured much like the military,
all Management Trainees are privates and drilled to obey an order. Rent
cars and sell collision damage wavier and additional insurance to
customers, by any means necessary. Most tactics for selling are
unethical and in many cases illegal, ie NY State's lawsuit brought
aginist ELRAC of New York.
Opportunities do exsist where a person can gain knowledge of sales and
marketing and this can be a stepping stone for another opportunity.
Enterprise is a every top heavy company, where very few make it to a
position that is described to all prospective employees. The corporate
culture can only be compared to a frat house. Promotions are sometimes
based on a survey of customer service to recent former customers. This
is not a bad idea, but the survey and sampling are flawed.
Get out of college, it can be a good experience. Take what you learned
and move on.
