El Paso: EP is the largest wholesale gas supplier and therefore has a
promising future as long as the demand for gas remains constant or
grows. However, it has a huge debt load that needs to be reduced and
employee morale needs to be improved for the short-term recovery of the
company. In the long term EP is a solid company that will continue to
prosper.
AES is also racked with debt and assets are heavily diversified in other
countries where domestic economies are more susceptible to recessionary
influences. Therefore AES will be struggling to service its debt load
over the next several years while at the same expending resources to
maintain the viability of assets in these other-tean first world
countries.
