The daily atmosphere is one of constant threat. Daily store morning
meetings run by store management are aimed at management threats to the
staff. If goals are not met heads will roll. If you do not do things our
way then find another job, dont' waste out valuable time. Our way is the
only way, do it our way of get out. Constant threats of job loss.
Shoppers are sent in to departments each month to spy on employees to
see
that they tow the company line and voice the company line to customers.
Experienced sales people are discouraged from their own proven selling
techniques and told to speek the company speech to customers of leave.
Big brother knows better even if your sales exceed company goals trying
it your way. People are promoted for towing the company line not for
knowledge of their department or selling skills. Advancement
for "company
employees" is very fast because turnover is also fast.
