I am proud to have been an EDS employee. During my tenure, I worked
with some of the most brilliant people that I have met. EDS gave me a
great opportunity to learn the business and grow my career.
Unfortunately, the company continues to loose top talent because the
employee is seen as a disposable asset. There is very little focus on
employee development, both formal (training, etc.) and informal
(mentoring, coaching). As a result the sense of loyalty that the
employees once had for the company has deteriorated to the point that
it is almost non-existent. I truly feel sorry for many of my friends
who continue to look over their shoulder, thinking if their job will be
the next one to go away.
