Working for Dynasplint as a sales consultant, is a great way to get
your
foot in the door of medical sales. They have very extensive sales
training, and will get you very motivated initially. To make as much
money as they promise you, you will have to work many 12 hour days,
nights and weekends, not to mention take and make endless calls, to
follow up with the patients. This becomes 2-3 jobs, meaning, you have
to market to the doctors/therapists, fit the patients with splints and
constantly follow up with them, while overseeing the people doing your
money collection and insurance authorizations (b/c it's never done
well). What you will learn is that, other medical reps are making 2X
the
money you are, and working 1/2 as much. If you do well, your chances
for advancement are slim, b/c your manager would rather keep you in
your
place so they keep making money off of you. They tend to hire outside
of the company for higher positions. Everyone that I know that has
left, has valued their time there, but happier now that they are gone
