Job Title Interview Survey
Higher Education Sales I contacted the Wall Street Journal directly from their website because I wanted to work for them, and they had a position I was clearly qualified for. Several weeks later, they emailed me to set up an interview. I interviewed with the hiring manager, who had flown in from Texas and was very nice. He was definitely much more soft spoken than I expected, as I have worked in sales for years and known many sales managers! First, he took some time to describe the position. Then there was a short list of "behavioral" interview questions - i.e., tell me how you would handle this situation, tell me what you would do in this situation, etc. I was never contacted regarding a second interview, nor did I receive a "ding" letter.
