Job Title Workplace Survey
Staff My employer befriended a group of subordinate managment people who were verbally abusive, sexually predatorial and perverted. The Assistant Director gradually began to accept and participate in this culture which had no system of checks and balances. A bi sexual Executive Assistant dominated the human relations paper flow and task assignment processes. It was a degrading and humiliating environment. My protests and complaints to EEOC resulted in managements refusal to process my health insurance which was guaranteed at the time I was hired. I was one of only about five Caucasian women, most of the managers were white men but I also worked for a really cruel man. I was a scapegoat for the frustration they experienced afetr being politically manipulated into hiring politically connected women from the inner city. Many of them were former gang members, some were dope heads, and they were a rough and motley crew. I was resented because I was educated and upwardly mobile. I had to stay with the job because I required surgery. It was the worst experience of my life.
