Very nice office to work in. Employees are treated like adults and given
the opportunity to pursue their personal lives as well as their
professional ones as long as it is not during the "up-front" and you work
on one of the automotive accounts. Dress code for Sales Planners was
business casual most of the time, but the Account Executives attire was
more formal. We all made an effort to look our bests when people were
visiting the office or we were representing the company outside the
offices. We took several trips a year that were part business and part
pleasure and had lots of opportunity to interact with Discovery employees
in other markets. I am not aware of a Sales Planner being promoted to
AE, but Sales Assistants had the chance to move up to Sales Planner. It
is a great product to sell and ample tools, training and help are
provided to perform your job. The typical hours were 8:30 - 5:30, with
unpaid overtime sometimes required. Flexibility was given for certain
situations as long as the work was done properly and on time.
