Dimension Data is a network managed services and networking technology
company with it's headquarters in South Africa, with approx. 9,000
employees and offices in 30 countries. This results in a wonderfully
diverse environment..I had never met anyone from South Africa prior to
working here, now I work (and report to) several! The culture is both
enabling and empowering for the employee. You are encouraged to come up
with new suggestions and ideas..it's very refreshing. It's a 24x7
environment, with 0800-1800 Mon-Fri being the core "business hours".
Flexible hours are available. Company is responsive to requests for
varied hours as long as it doesn't significantly impact business. Dress
is "business casual"..with the only guidelines being no jeans, sneakers,
sweat clothes, etc. during business hours. There are opportunities for
advancement; I am thinking about getting my CCNA and moving into an
engineering role for example.
