The job I was asked to do bore little resemblance to the job I was recruited for. Having turned down a Managing Director's position to join Digitas, I feel this was a disrespectful way to treat a senior industry player. There were many talented people in the London office but they were suppressed by a cloying, sycophantic corporate culture. People at the higher levels are pursuing their own agendas and are unconcerned about the value delivery to clients.
