Job Title Workplace Survey
Supply Management Great company, great benefits however not the best place to work if you are looking for a dynamic environment. Highly resistant to change, company promotes individuality and diversity, but don't believe it for a minute, conform to their culture or else. Lots of employees who have been there a long time, started their careers at John Deere and are still their, many of whom are dead wood.Highest turnover rate is for mid- career employees who come from other companies. What keeps alot of people at Deere is clearly the compensation and benefits. The company is ineffective with its succession planning, high degree of cronyism, and neptism. Deere does nothing to address the dead wood employees, turning a blind eye to performance issues, new employees carry the workload. Next five years will see alot of turnover due to retirements, so opportunities will present themselves. Beware if you are looking for an open, flexible culture which they are not!
