Strengths : i can't think of anything. As of today, the people i work
with are good. There were a lot more that are gone - either
they left, moved out of state, or got fired.
Weaknesses : a lot !!! let me mention a few... salary rate lowest in the
Bay Area. I have worked in almost all other companies, at
least i got 2 dollars or more (the only thing holding me
here is convenience bec. it's close to where i live). The
management is the weakest part of our unit right now. She
can't handle the unit - she's overwhelmed. Our social
worker is lazy and has attitude towards staff and patients.
Too much patient load. PCT's get 4-4-4 patients in all 3
shifts. Sometimes, they get more than that when were short.
Very disorganized. We need a GOOD LEADER because we have
good followers. i could go on and on and on.....
Services : The staff try hard but, it's never good enough because of
short-staffing. That's the key. We have trouble doing
things the DAVITA way because it takes time - and we don't
have time!!! Especially if you still have 5 patients waiting
for you to be taken care of. Patients are not well taken
care of. Even if we are short staffed, if the other clinic
asks for help (to send staff over), my boss still sends our
people there, when we need help ourselves. We tried to say
no because we don't want our unit to suffer (we are suffer-
ing enough), but my boss says, "You're gonna have to." Then
when that staff leaves for the other unit, we're on our own,
then, we drown... I guess it won't matter, we became the
heroes anyway. Unfortunately, we put our patient's life in
jeopardy. Then, another day is over...........
Employee morale : I guess we don't have any left right....it's way, way
down. When you are asked a favor (to do something
extra, or to work an extra day), she says, "You're
awesome!!!" Just don't make a mistake the next day
coz, "You're fired !!!" It's a sad, sad situation.
