DHL is bracing to take on FedEx in North America but they're doing it at
the employees expense. No one at this depot likes their job and the
owner/operators and branch managers have ceased to cooperate. The work
environment is morose and people go in to work every day expecting to be
fired for the least little thing. One of the employees suspects a
shipment of drugs were removed from his truck (not stolen by the employee
as the company stated) as a reason for firing him although the drug case
turned up later at the depot. The management of this company seems not to
be aware that their employees could be their cheapest form of
advertising. The company undermines the employees efforts to do a good
job and consistently sours the chances of a good relationship with it's
own employees. There is no detente, only one barrage of foolish rules
after another meant to demean and degrade the employees. The management
and administration of this company should be fired. DHL should replace
them with people who are able to work as a team. A company is only as
good as it's employees. DHL's employees advise prospective customers to
call Purolator.
