Job Title Interview Survey
Administration I am seeking employment so naturally, I have my resume posted on the major jobsites. A temp agency I'll call ABC calls me to discuss my resume and possible job openings they have. I meet with "Jane" and we go over my skills and the one question she asks me is, "Is there any particular industry you want to work for?" I tell her I am open to any industry EXCEPT property management. (I even saw her take notes when I said this.) The meeting comes to a close, she promises to be in touch, and I leave. Well, I never hear from her again until 4 months later. I am in bed, it's 9:45pm and my phone rings. It's Jane with ABC and she wants to discuss my job search. I am half awake, completely disoriented, and totally appalled at the nerve of this woman. I tell her to call me in the morning between 7 and 7:30am. She calls me at precisely 8am and the first thing out of her mouth is, "I have a few positions available in property management, are you interested?" I tell her, "No, I am not. Do you have anything else?" She tells me that she will be working from home the coming weekend and will call me. She never does. A few weeks later I get a call at 8:45pm. It's Jane from ABC wanting, once again, to discuss my job search status. She proceeds to ask me, "Are you interested in working in the property management industry because I have a few available positions." I am literally at a loss for words. As politely as I can, I tell her that I am not interested in property management and 'I believe I've already conveyed this to you on 2 previous conversations'. She apologizes and says, "You'll have to forgive me, I'm working from home and I don't have your information in front of me." Can someone please tell me, WHY is she calling me if she is NOT prepared? She then again tells me she will call me tomorrow with an update. She never does.
