Cox Radio is by far the best radio group in the country. Cox provides
a relaxed working environment, where emplyees are allowed and
encouraged to develop their own strategies and ideas for their
department. It is a fun place to come every morning! There are a
diverse group of people working in our group in Greenville. This
creates a great resource at work. We bounce ideas of each other, and
constantly look for new input from each other. As for the hours, there
are a lot of them! Promotions is a big job, with most major events
occuring on the weekends and at nights. The hours are extensive, but
like I said, very enjoyable and rewarding, so it doesn't even seem like
work. Every employee here puts in the hours needed to get the job
done! Dress code for promotions is alittle different then the rest of
the office. We are walking billboards for our stations and are always
wearing our station shirts. Opportunites for advancement are
wonderful. Cox is a company that believes in promoting from within, so
if you do a great job, it is inevitable that you will advance, whether
it be with your current employer, or somewhere else in the country. I
have had several interns turn into great part-time and full-time
employees.
