Initial salary offer was $43,000. Employment package includes various
medical
and dental plans, 401k plan, eventual stock options and (I think) 10
days of
vacation.
There was no signing bonus for me, and there is certainly no year-end
bonuses for "regular workforce" employees. Only the executives get
bonuses. In
fact, they have an entire committee that meets on how much more money
they
should
get.
We recently had our annual reviews (all done in the same period of
time as
opposed to hire date). Merit increases are a joke. Reviews are based
on a 1 to
5 rating scale. Overall (average) score is equal to the amount of
increase one
receives. For example, an overall rating of 3 "Meets job expectations"
only
merits a 3% raise. Increases do not take effect until June of each
year -- five
months after the review period (the prior year) has ended.
Countrywide has standard reimbursement procedures for office
expenses,
travel expenses, etc.
