2 interviews.
1st interview over the phone:
why did you choose your major
why are you interested in working at ceb
walk me through your resume
where do you see yourself in 5 years/10 years
very easy and it's usually with someone in hr so you just have to speak
clearly and seem sincere
2 interview:
2 parts. you interview with a manager from different "councils" - read
the website for more info on that (it's the equivalent of a business
unit). they ask baby cases and help you with the answer. they don't
really care that you figure out the right answer since that's not what
this business provides anyway. they want to know how you would think
about the question, what kinds of questions you would ask to get at the
information and that you can think of the differnt areas to attack to
find the information.
1st part. interview w someone from CSB (corp strategy board) and CLC
corp leadership council (the biggest unit - which does hr best practices
research)
walk me through your resume
if a company that supplies paint asks you how they can increase their
market share, where would you look for information to answer them?
what kind of information would you be looking for?
can you make some predictions as to what kind of information you would
find?
2nd part. w someone from the insurance council.
what are you interested in
talked about the work that the insurance council does and why it's
interesting to him and why it scares ppl but it shouldn't
asked me a case which i can't remember. i do remember that i had a hard
time w it bc i had no idea how the insurance industry worked but he
helped me through it
i got an offer a few weeks later. then they flew me down there again to
meet other ppl w offers and get a tour of the co and meet with some of
the co. leadership.
