Working in the Canberra office of Compuware A/P is great. The people get
on very well with each other, and the camaraderie is one of the bext I
have seen. The timing of the monthly Monday sales meetings (8.00 am)
needs adjustment (Sydney office dictates the time).
Nominal hours are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. Dress code is jacket and tie,
which is a little tough as I am used to the "business casual" of North
America, where I used to work. However, local government customers are
dressed with ties, so jacket and tie is appropriate for engaging in
Canberra market.
Though I thought opportunities for advancememnt were limited, a current
reorganisation has opened a number of possibilities.
Compuware, being a publicly held North American company, needs to react
to the vagaries of the share market - and should be recognised by anyone
who considers working for them. However, if you do a good job, and bring
in the dollars, there should be no issue for salespeople.
