Job Title Salary Survey
Compositor Salary started out at $30,000 with a $1,000 signing bonus. Terms were to increase every six months by $5,000. Actual increase was $10,000 after 18 months and after threatening to leave the company. Was promised another $10,000 increase within six months and didn't get it, so I left the company. Taking into account actual hours worked, the per hour rate I was making was actually closer to $12 per hour rather than the $20-$25 I was promised. Near the end of my employment I learned that this what my boss had always done with everyone... and that the companies oldest employee had never recieved a raise in his 4 years working there.
