My job can be extremely stressfull at times. I work at least 50-60
hours
a week, usually more. after dealing with the public every day for the
past three years, I see the world in a new light. the customer is
always
right...even when their wrong. ive seen and heard it all. we get alot
of
tourist here being that its one of the greatest tourist attractions in
the U.S. and that part makes it rather interesting. we also get alot of
bums stopping in to try and get coffee. then we have the police here
often to remove them and keep things going smooth here. there is alot
of
room for advancment here. i have already advanced quite a bit from the
time i started working here. soon i'll be getting a degree in
hospitality management which my employer will pay for me to recieve.
the
dress code is way off if you ask me. we are at the beach and must wear
these long sleeve button down shirts that look similar to a maintinence
shirt. very odd. my working environment is a rather small community so
everyone knows everything about everyone, which can be annoying at
times. for me it took time getting used to it but now it doesnt really
bother me.
