Comcast is a well run, profitable company. The culture is all about
the customer, and at a 'for profit' company, that is as it should be.
If you install cable or directly sell cable, you get all you need for
motivation, emotional and monetary. If you don't sell or install, and
work at a core function like HR, security or finance, you get what is
left over. Not bad pickings, but less than others to be sure. The
budget process for department managers this year was the most painful
exercise I have ever encountered in 15yrs of corporate life. The right
hand didn't even know there was a left hand, never mind knowing what to
do with it.
