Executive management is quite competitive and experienced in the
business of exploring for and producing (primarily) natural gas. It has
property in the Mid-continent, Gulf Coast, and Rocky Mountain regions,
and has been forward-thinking in growth and acquisitions. However, an
agreement signed at the close of the merger October 1, 2002, restricted
any changes in the corporate structure for two years to avoid a tax
liability for the parent company that spun off its E&P division to form
the new company. Some speculation exists that personnel changes or even
corporate structural changes may take place after October 1, 2004.
