The work at CHA was very interesting and meaningful, and my supervisors
were very sharp people. The CHA employed a diverse staff. The dress
was business casual. While some of the other staff seemed to have
questionably flexible hours, most people kept to a tight schedule - few
worked overtime. At that time the CHA was going through a great deal of
administrative turmoil - and many positions and departments were
eliminated. The environment was thus unstable, and not somewhere I felt
secure in continuing to work in. Since I left, the CHA has also lost
many very smart people from key positions. Friends that stayed have
endured very stressful years, not knowing if or when they would be let
go.
