| Director of Career Services |
A networking associate informed me of the available position. I wrote
an approach letter to the Director of Education. He called me in
response to my letter and asked me to come in for an interview.
I had an initial interview with the Director only, when I gave him my
r??sum?? and he asked about my background. I asked many questions myself
about the expectations of the position, then responded with examples of
similar things I had done.
I was asked back for a second interview with a panel of four employees.
I was asked how I would build relationships with employers in the area.
I was again asked to describe my background. I was also asked what I
considered to be a weakness of mine. I was prepared for all the
questions, and responded with illustrations of past experiences. I then
asked many questions of each of the individuals in the panel and
responded with illustrations of my similar experience when they
responded to my questions.
Both interviews were very pleasant and interactive. I asked at the end
if they had any concerns about me, none did. I then asked for the job.
I received a verbal offer the same day, and began working with the
company two weeks later.
