| Administrative and logistic manager |
I work for a subsidiary that is quite small compared to our parent
company. We follow the laws and culture of our country as for working
hours and dress code. We are not expected to work more hours than we are
employed for. Our managing director has set the limits clear here.
As the subsidiary is very small opportunities for advancement hardly
exists. Here you could wish that a global job center for people wanting
to work in other countries had existed. I think it is important to let
people see what is available in other countries as well. We are working
for the very same company.
At this very moment things are very unsure for us. The company will
probably be sold during this autumn but still we know very little.
Information was given very early but things happened that kept on for
months. It is good to get informed at an early stage but not to early.
it is hard to keep on being motivated knowing that you might not have a
job in some months. Even harder to being a manager keeping other people
motivated when you are not yourself.
It seems to me that our parent company could be better on a global
level - informing on job opportunities, educations on a global level for
people working in the offices (not selling that is).
I do enjoy my work and find it stimulating but the uncertainty of what
will happen in the future makes it hard to keep on with the same
motivation as earlier.
