Working at Celestica has it's good and bad points. Flexibility is key
to your success there. Shifts can change in a heartbeat for the
production workers and Overtime is often made mandatory which can be
very difficult for some, especially single parents. Conversley, they
can also tell you not to come into work if it becomes slow."Brown Outs"
is the term they use. Room for advancement is hard to come by and when
it does become available it is often a matter of favoritism. The
current manufacturing climate had not been too conducive to
advancements at the company.
I find the current shift very favorable. Three 12 hour shifts, one 6
hour shift and then 3 1/2 days off. You can have a life.
