The Capital Group must be doing something right based on the performance
of the American Funds. However, I would not recommend employment here.
This is a company which selectively enforces policies (ie, internet use,
attendance) and grills employees to sell out their coworkers to thin the
herds. This is a company where there are no org charts or career
paths; consequently you can expect to be stuck doing the same thing
until the person above you retires or dies. This is a company where
they low ball you on the salary, but if you hang around for six years,
you get a portion of it back in a retirement plan. The Associate's
Program and Business Analyst Rotation programs are hugely popular and
competitive, but don't expect to come in and do anything significant:
you wonn't be tested, but your ability to be tested will be.
