Job Title Salary Survey
Mail Sorting Clerk Like I said before, the salary package is what makes working at Canada Post worth it. In March 2005, the hourly wages are around 21.14$/hour, which is excellent. There are yearly pay increases of .50$ an hour or more. Also, we are given evening, night, and weekend shift premiums that vary between .95$ and 1.15$/hour. Sadly, there are no year-end bonuses for Canada Post employees. However, as soon as we become permanent for the company we are given 3 weeks vacation in our first year. After that, we are awarded 1 extra week vacation for every seven years of service. Also, Canada Post employees benefit from an excellent pension plan, which, after retirement gives about 75% of our salary.
