Working for Cache Creek Indian Bingo and Casino (now Cache Creek Casino
Resort) was the most unique job I've ever had. In the time I worked
there they went to just over 300 employees to almost 2000 employees of
diverse cultures and backgrounds. Working for a Native American Tribe
definately added another dimension to the entire experience. There was a
definate feudal flavor to the corporate "culture". Upper Management
(although seen to be available)did not realistically adhere to there
own 'open door policy' when it came to people below a certain level.
However, on the surface, everyone always seemed to be friendly and
accomodating. The overall dress code for all departments was specific
uniforms according to department. The general work atmosphere was
stressful in most departments, but opportunities for advancement were
fairly good in all departments for qualified employees.
