Working for Cabot Corporation has been wonderful during my first year.
My Manager is very opened minded and accepts new ideas. Our department
was centralized in early 2003 so, it was a huge challege to remove the
Buyers from our NA Plants. Centralization is still a challenge but the
Plants have accepted the change and is ready to be serviced by the
Buyers. All employees in our department have their Bachelor Degrees and
Three have their Masters Degrees. There are four women and four men in
our department and we have a very good working relationship. We help
each other with projects or staying late to assist a co-worker with
placing orders for the plants. We are a close knit department with a
very strong, professional, knowledgable and caring Manager. Our Manager
care about our future with Cabot and assisting all employees to pursue
our Certified Purchasing Management Certifications. Dress code is
business casual and casual for Fridays. Cabot Corporation has great
benefits and the pay/salary is above average for our positions. We have
monthly all hands meeting with the General Manager, Safety Meetings to
assist employees with working safely and our company is involved with
volunteer service work in the North Fulton County area. Great
opportnity for advancement at all career disciplines. Ours of work are
very flexible due to the traffic in the Atlanta area.
