CH (CH2M HILL) is an employee owned company headquartered in Denver Co.
It has an an emvironment that encourages employee input and involvement
in decoision making. It embraces diversity in that it has a wide range
of diversity in it's world-wide workforce. It is currently working on
an initiative to make CH the employeer of choice for females and has an
active diversity-promotion program. I joined as an upper-management
female employee and have to date had no problem with acceptance. The
dress code is typically business casual with dress-down Fridays (jeans),
if your job permits. This dress code promotes a more relaxed and
comfortable environment to work in. Opportunities for advancement
depends on the individuals interests. While an employee that wishes to
stay geographly located, this is accommadated with a less aggressive
development program. However, CH also has a moe agressive employee
development program for those that wish to advance into upper
management. Onee program includes the CH Leadership Program that is
focused on providing employees with boh knowledge and tools that will
aid them as they mature in their current positions and progress up
the "management-ladder.". Overall CH has proved to be an emploee-
focused organization that understands that it's employees ave a valuable
resouce and acts accordingly.
