Broward County Government in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is an ideal place
to work if you like to life in a resort all year round. When you work
for the Broward County Government, you are paid much higher and it
continues to rise every year at a greater rate not like the normal
resort area of Fort Lauderdale. Great Medical benefits, all sorts of
benefits, Florida Retirement System memeber, annual sick leave and
pension benefits. Employs about 10,000 people so many opportunities are
available. Dress code is casual because you're in a resort so its
really up to you how you want to dress. In the technical professional
areas, just dress pants and dress short and possibly tie will suffice.
Not many wear dress jackets due to the sub-tropical climate here.
Opportunities for advancement are tremendous and easy and advances in
pay happen every year anyway since annual evaluation are at least 5% of
your pay for most everyone anyway.
