Job Title Workplace Survey
associate Dress code is theoretically business casually, but suits are required for meeting clients and going to court. Most lawyers wore suits at all times. The corporate culture is very political internally. There are only two female partners, one each in the litigation and corporate departments. Family life and accomodation of personal life or circumstances is discouraged. Women are overtly discouraged from continuing employment past mid-level associates, and are routinely not invited to client events and other similar events and dinners. Billable hours are relatively high, with 2000 hours as the unspoken minimum and 2200-2400 hours expected of the corporate lawyers. The official target is 1850, below which no bonus is awarded. Two partners are admitted each year. There are morale perks such as annual ski trips and bi-annual country wide firm retreats (where lawyers are pampered, and relax)
