Bisys Document Solutions is a software company that provides software
and services to the banking industry, primarily their check processing
divisions. The work environment ranges from mid-paced to fast-paced
depending on what issues our customers are having. There is some
business travel involved depending on your position. The dress code is
business casual, certain Fridays are designated as ??blue jean Fridays??.
On ??blue jean Fridays??, birthdays are celebrated and cake is served. The
culture is more casual and laid back, except for when visitors will be
in the building then professional attire is expected to be worn. The
standard hours are from 8 to 5 but it is not strictly enforced, the
employees have the freedom, and the responsibility to decide when to
come in and when to leave. There are also after hours and weekend shifts
in customer support department. In the development department we
occasionally work on the weekend if we are involved in a significant
software upgrade. Mostly all employees are salaried. There are currently
only a few opportunities for advancement due to company cutbacks, but
that is slowly improving.
