Best Buy starts a base of seven dollars and fifty cents as a sales
representetive with no experience, and a little less for cashiers, customer
service representetives, merchendising, and inventory. I started at base and
after 3 months of work you are then evaluated and get a raise based off of how
you have done. Every promotion after that gets a raise sometimes even going
from
part time to full time, and you also get a review every year for another raise.
The standard raise amount for an annual raise is four percent. Best Buy also
has
the ESPP (employee stock purchase plan) that I stated above, vacation, sick pay
accruement, and personal holiday accruement for full time employees. Best buy
also has a Tuition Reimbersment program for any full time employee that has been
there for at least six months so that they can be reimbersed up to 1500 dollars
a
semester. there are also two days we are guaranteed off, christmas and
thanksgiving and we get holiday pay for all major holidays (8 hours holiday pay
for full timers only) and if anyone, even part timers have to work on a major
holiday, they get paid time and a half.
