Job Title Business Outlook Survey
Best Buy Overall business outlook is to provide superior products & superior customer service, for maximum profit. Most of our competition, as far as I can see, is steadily weakening. One major retailer is slowly going out of business. The rest seem to be just simply trying to 'keep up' with us. We are the leader to date! We have regular monthly meetings, & the euphoria usually sticks, but tends to wane prior to the next meeting. After the store meeting, each individual dept. has it's own meeting. Same thing happens; euphoria/morale wanes quicker in the individual dept. meetings. I think a bit of it has to do with this recent change in command. I've asked to tranfer to another department. Although I actually want to learn the whole store, & try out each & every dept. eventually, it's a bit difficult to work for someone you can't talk to. I don't feel at all comfortable about having conversations with my new dept. supervisor. But I guess some things, people, etc., take some getting used to. I really like the dept. I'm in, but I just don't know. Like I previously mentioned, I don't plan to go anywhere. All in all, Best Buy really is one of the better places I've worked. In spite of everything, they do have some degree of caring/concern.
