The RCA Music Group has become a very corporate and "cover your ass"
environment. Although they like to speak of "team work", there really
is no team. Nothing can be put into process without the approval of
Executive Management, making everything micro-managed. Because of the
constant changing/searching of Executive Management on Bertelsmann's end
in the last few years, there is no stability or feeling of leadership
for the workers. Moral is at an all time low, coming from a mass lay-
off last year with added job duties for the existing workers and no pay
increase. The hours are technically 10 - 6, but you're expected to work
until at least 7 (usually w/o overtime pay). Dress is very casual. It
is very rare to receive a promotion (in the last 4 years, only 1 person
was promoted from within). Usually, people are hired from the outside.
If you are an assistant, prepare to stay that way until you leave the
company.
